Every 20 years, a portal opens and Mordak the usurper attempts to gain entry into the Five Kingdoms. Three magical warrior monks called Dorruku lead the combined armies in a battle to prevent Mordak from entering this world.
This cycle has been going on for nearly a thousand years, but this time, it is different. The maw to hell opens, but Mordak doesn’t emerge. Instead, he hurls a magic orb into the Five Kingdoms. The spell destroys all memory of Mordak and magic.
Unaware of their impending doom, the citizens of the Five Kingdoms go about their lives in a carefree fashion, making no plans for their defense, constructing no bulwarks, manufacturing no weapons.
