In her journey, she teams up with the resistance group known as the Infidels and together go on an adventure to bring back the Old Gods and bring down Yram's oppressive religious regime.

Along the way he joins two other fellow rejects—Cy, a sentient training dummy with a knightly code, and Zillow, a sadistic moon-elf healer whose magic can only heal (much to her frustration). Together, they bumble their way across cursed forests, pirate airships, and dungeon lairs, slowly realizing they just might be the heroes this world needs.
