Welcome to the Georgia O’Keeffe College of Arts and Subtle Dramatics, an historically all-female school whose population is decidedly more drama geek than jock. Liv, aspiring actor and basketball enthusiast, doesn’t understand why she can’t be both, but she seems alone in that belief...until Charlie. Charlie is a recent transfer, a star basketball player, and the answer to all of Liv’s problems.

Liv, aspiring actor and basketball enthusiast, doesn’t understand why she can’t be both, but she seems alone in that belief...until Charlie. Charlie is a recent transfer, a star basketball player, and the answer to all of Liv’s problems. She’ll stop at nothing to get Charlie to join the ragtag group of misfits that make up...
Charlie is done with team sports. Nope. Not happening. Never again. But Liv and the rest of the Georgia O’Keefe College of Arts and Subtle Dramatics basketball team are determined to get Charlie to join them, and they’ve cooked up a ruse to woo her! For basketball. Nothing else.
The basketball season is off to a start, and Charlie, Liv, and the rest of the Avant-Guards are trekking across state for their very first game. They’ve hardly had time to polish their skills, though, and if the season isn’t going to end before it’s really begun, they’ll have to fight to make their dreams come true!
Everything is going great! Charlie is on the team, and the Avant-Guards are on a winning streak, taking the liberal arts sports scene by storm. It’s more impressive than it sounds. However, that winning streak is all at risk when they face off against the Selfies of the American Institute of Internet Influencers.
The Avant-Guards have been on a roll when it comes to their newly-formed Athletic Coalition, and Charlie has been getting more comfortable with her new teammates, but when they hit the end of their winning-streak, will these new friendships survive?
Reeling from a crushing defeat at the hands of the Selfies, the Avant-Guards must rediscover their team spirit and remember what makes them love the game. It doesn’t help that a member of their team is horribly smitten with a Selfie player.
As Liv discovers that there is more to college basketball than just slam dunks and victories, the rest of the Avant-Guards work to cheer up their normally peppy Captain. Charlie especially seems concerned, and ready to do whatever it takes to get back the Liv she knows and loves.
Tiffany and the Coven accidentally stumble onto a surprising discovery… resident cynic Nicole’s secret life as an aspiring stand-up comic! Plus, the final regular game of the season is coming up, and with it, questions about the Avant-Guards’ place in the playoffs...not to mention the future of the league itself!
Everything’s happening—Liv and Charlie are figuring out what it means to be Liv-and-Charlie, the final game of the season is here, and the team is worried about creating the perfect fundraiser. Oh! And everyone’s parents showed up to cheer them on during the most stressful time the team could imagine. Luckily the entire existence of the league doesn’t depend on this one game or the Avant-Guards winning, right? Oh wait... Acclaimed writer Carly Usdin (Heavy Vinyl: Riot on The Radio) ...
