Melaulij Siolain, humble daughter of "Trel's Spine," lives in an unfortunate era in Altrasq's history: That of the First Demi-God Wars, Pharaleen's Avenging Crusade. Dhay-Verae, queen of Vrendain, the southern neighbor to Trel's Spine, leads the defensive. Turning a blind eye to the ravenous lords of the north. These lords, aligned with the queen, take this opportunity to steal from the "barbarians" of Trel's Spine. Razing the ancient villages to the ground in their thirst for treasure. This injustice, however, will not go unnoticed. For it will be paid in-full with fire and blood.
