After leaving the Police force, JP Cummings began her own Private Investigation business years after the death of her husband and son. The story picks up with a no nonsense, tough attitude JP Cummings who comes involved with an unsolved murder that leads her to more unsolved mysteries that opens doors to what really happened to her family.
