Curtis, a man selling fake elixirs to support his family, finds himself outcast and struggling through winter. Rescued by Bruce, a man in similar straits, Curtis is taken to Bruce’s home for shelter. He gets to know Bruce's family, especially the eerie eldest daughter Nancy. What is this feeling that danger is looming? How long will Curtis last after supper?
