RUNEBOUND

The world of mages collapsed with the world of mankind, causing the universe to be unstable. The world of mages has survived throughout history on the other dimension due to the existence of the crystal shards enacted with the magic symbols called the RUNE STONES. The mages harnessed the power of these Runes for their survival until their universe bled into ours. The leaders of mankind and the mages found common ground and established a peaceful agreement not to engage in war with one another until humans committed TWO nefarious sins. THE FIRST SIN: They feared that one day the mages would turn on them and take over the world of man, so they decided to steal these crystal shards known as the Rune stones that were scattered around the world of the mages. With the Rune stones in the possession of the humans, they then harness their power to advance their technology (weapons and war machines) that can stand to protect them against the mages. The weapons they created out of these Rune stones were the type of weapons that could manipulate magic and conjure any elemental power. The individuals that wield these weapons were called the MANCERS, acting as soldiers to combat the existence of the mages. THE SECOND SIN: It was the existence of a girl named “Preacher” and she was found as a baby by the Queen of mankind during the First Grand War of Mancers and Mages, and decided to raise this unknown girl as her very own daughter. Though Preacher’s identity is still unknown, some even believed she was a god or sent here by the gods since she possessed unique magical abilities. The scale of war has tilted as humans have the best line of defense. Now, we have a newborn baby who’s a hybrid of a human and a mage, his name is Nathanial Sunvanclare.
