Ted Fallon used to be one of Boston's top cops, a rising star investigator, that is until one day an emergency called him away. Ted's sister fell in with the wrong element and was battling addiction, a battle she was losing. Ted found himself in the small, quaint town of Hope Falls Vermont, nestled in the northern end of the Appalachian Mountains Ted began a new life as the town's sheriff so he could be closer to his sister and look after her.
