Eamon Vega, a bright 11-year-old from Houston, and his best friend Danny Kim are unwittingly used as test subjects in a dangerous military experiment led by Danny’s own father, Dr. Chung Kim. Designed to create superpowered soldiers, the experiment goes horribly wrong — Danny gains the ability to turn into smoke, while Eamon combusts into flames and dies… only to miraculously resurrect with mysterious regenerative powers.
Scarred by the betrayal and trauma, Eamon grows into a quiet, distant teen who rejects heroism and isolates himself from the world — until Danny returns years later, offering him a chance to use their powers to rob banks. What begins as a rebellious partnership quickly spirals when a dark entity known as Smoke manipulates Danny into violence, ultimately leading to the accidental death of Eamon’s older brother, Exavior.
Fueled by grief and vengeance, Eamon begins a hunt for Danny, but along the way, he discovers new elemental abilities — not just fire, but earth, electricity, and water.
