Fractured Destiny

Set 500 years in the future, centuries after a catastrophic experiment fractures and scatters Earth fragments throughout the solar system, each fragment altered in strange new ways. Earth Prime, the largest fragment has rebuilt civilization, but faces a new existential threat. Hope lies in recovering an ancient technology on one of the distant fragments. They recruit Nash, a 21st century expert who has the ability to change the past, but not his own, and attempts to rewrite his destiny in order to save his daughter.

A little boy from Brooklyn has some special DNA without knowing what to do with it; gets followed by the men in black and takes the job of MC of "Configuration Night," known as "violentertainment" to his audience. Participants of the show view human slaves in arrays.
The slave arrays trigger the watchers to violence.
Literally-- just ask the nanobots implanted in the watchers' brains.
Obscure World Catalog

Obscure World Catalog is a monthly magazine describing the latest developments, inventions, and cultural news from various planets across the galaxy. The information has been translated into Earth-speak to allow humans to understand them. Suitable references to events on Earth are used to explain obscure things that might seem unreal to the first-time reader.
We wish to inspire the people of Planet Earth by bringing the latest new stuff from all around the galaxy. Planet Earth is gradually moving towards long-term sustainability and shows promise of developing into a Type II Civilization.
