Nearly 100 years after the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the world’s militaries have all been replaced with each country’s singular superpowered champion. In this new original story by Throgs, we follow several of these champions’ everyday lives as international conflicts become bloody battles, and resentments between nations may lead to global destruction. In this world of rising tensions, more than one massive threat looms, which may spell doom not just for our characters, but for the human race as a whole.

In 1942, coinciding with Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer's "Manhattan Project," Japanese defector Dr. Yushiro Tokugawa was placed at the head of "Project Prometheus," with the goal of giving an American soldier superhuman abilities.
Nearly 100 years after his 1945 success, trouble is brewing on a global scale, with threats potentially arising from anywhere.
As Macha and Jonah Hwan grow closer, she notices that she's seeing more and more of The Nuke. Meanwhile, something big is still building. Russia's champion is spotted acting suspiciously, and Oni heads to Okinawa to find a leady on the rumblings he has sensed in Asia of late, aided by on old friend.
Another champion appears seemingly out of nowhere as Cuba's warrior, El Soldado, attacks Miami. Meanwhile, Oni enlists Taegeuk's help in entering China and investigating the lead that he and The Brigadier unearthed together. On top of all of this, Macha still strugles to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and is seeing Jonah Hwan less and less.
As the unseen enemy force moves ever closer, The Nuke is deployed to a handful of the United States’ allied countries to establish where they might stand. Meanwhile, Oni journeys to Mt. Hakkoda, meeting up with his father to repair his armor and implants. Conversely, Macha has a good-yet-busy day, having finally nailed the balance between her life and her duties.
