The story follows the defiant King Sisyphus, whose intense passion for the beauty of the mortal world provokes the wrath of the gods, condemning him to an eternal, futile labor of pushing an immense boulder up a mountain in a surreal, atmospheric underworld. However, rather than a tale of defeat, the narrative focuses on the pivotal "hour of consciousness"—the solitary walk back down the mountain—where Sisyphus confronts the absurdity of his fate and transcends it through scorn and acceptance. It is a visual journey of overcoming nihilism, culminating in the powerful realization that by owning his burden, Sisyphus finds a defiant happiness within the struggle itself.
