During the process, he befriends a hummingbird and a bumblebee who become his constant companions; taking refuge in his leafy crown. His travels also serve as a journey of self discovery as he learns how to interact with animals and plants as his sentient peers. And not always with a successful outcome. But he's learning. He also has to deal with an additional aspect of his new plant physiology and seeks the Strange Plant who transformed him for answers.
