Gimme Five is a biannual series by Skilletfire Studios founders Scott Eckelaert and JW Harp, the team behind Markosia Entertainment’s graphic novel, Boylon Heights. They’ll be bringing you one original 5-page tale per month featuring both new and used characters. Whatever the context, they’re guaranteed to bring a new spin with adult readers in mind.

In universe where superheroes are real, seven superheroes from each an Arabian Gulf country are united and given the title of “Heroes of Gulf” by the media. Their main goal is to discover the source of their powers while also fighting global terrorism, ultimately changing the course of history, culture, and society forever.

Several years ago, Oni Press put out four sample scripts, that artists could use for submissions. I thought this was a great idea (they should really bring it back), since I wasn’t a writer, and the hardest part about submissions was always what to draw. I always meant to do one, but I never got around to it. So I challenged myself to do all four, and this is what happened!

Standing up to save our future, 10 creators have voiced their hopes, thoughts, fears, and knowledge to inspire the next generation to VOTE and stand against the tyranny of our government.
