100 years have passed since the conclusion of a major war. A terrifying disease has begun to spread across the world, turning its victims into horrible, mutated creatures. In the Imperial Kingdom, there are common people and Masters who develop particular abilities called Skills, but the law says that only the Imperial Masters in the service of the King can practice their skill. Anyone who disobeys this law will be considered a criminal. Kain and Mel live in the small village of Canan, together they will challenge the power of Imperial to protect each other.

"Blood Trails" is a dark and twisted manga that follows the story of Kali, a 19-year-old boy with a selfish and manipulative personality who finds himself in a mental asylum after almost killing a child and a woman. Kali's desire to understand the value of human life and why it's wrong to take someone's life leads him on a dangerous journey that will test his morality and sanity. In the asylum, Kali is assigned a cannibalistic roommate who offers to help him navigate the treacherous environment as long as she's allowed to take a bite of him whenever she needs help.

In the year 2458, a one world government has taken over. Ruling by fear and not afraid to "make examples" of any who destroy the peace of the world in any way. In volume one of this three volume series we follow Haypatia who works for this government; yet she knows something about what she's doing is wrong.
