Description

Two realms exist apart: Grigoryn, the realm of eternal night ruled by vampires, and Eldora, a world of elves and ancient magic. Between them hangs the Veil, an ancient barrier that has kept the worlds separated since time immemorial. When the Veil separating Grigoryn and Eldora begins to weaken, Aravos, vampire heir to the Crimson Kingdom, finds himself caught in a war against invading lycans. But the conflict changes when Lirael, a mysterious young woman carrying an ancient locket, falls through the Veil into his world. Aravos soon discovers that her arrival fulfills an ancient prophecy tied to war, forbidden magic, and a darkness older than either realm. As werewolves ravage both worlds and primordial powers awaken beneath them, Aravos and Lirael are drawn into a conflict that reaches far beyond war. The boundaries between Grigoryn and Eldora are beginning to fail, and the ancient beings imprisoned beneath reality are learning how to escape. Together, they must confront forces that seek not to conquer their worlds, but to erase the separation between them entirely. Bound by prophecy, shadow, and fire, a vampire heir and a daughter of the sun may become the only hope of preventing two worlds from collapsing into one.
