Umbras are shadow-like creatures that haunts humanity with the effect of a mysterious event. The international organization known as Lux Aeterna was acts with the mission to eliminate these beings that prey on humans. They have quickly risen to a prestigious position as humanity’s savior. Akira Makishima, known among the public as the “Scarlet Threat,” is a young girl who is herself an Umbra, possessing a range of superhuman abilities. Due to Lux Aeterna’s authority over her, she is forced to act as a living weapon for Lux Aeterna in order to protect her father. Gifted with the power to hunt other Umbras, Akira’s fate crosses with that of a Lux Hunter. This Lux Hunter, named Allen, is a young man striving to discover his purpose in life and find where his heart truly belongs, all while following in his father’s footsteps... and seeking the truth behind his father’s death.
