Daniel and Christine are good friends, but Daniel has been meaning to confess his intimate feelings for some time. However, an unfortunate incident with Christine's ex-boyfriend shakes his confidence, leading him to break his plans and leave early. Little did Christine know that he'd be disappearing for some time.
Daniel returns to Christine the night after their reunion, but despite recently consuming blood, he finds he's still unable to control his vampiric hunger around Christine.
Christine wakes up with a gap in her memory of the night before and strange wounds on her wrist. To make matters worse, both her boorish ex, Wayne, and Daniel, now even more unhinged, end up visiting her at the same time that night.
Daniel goes to meet up with Wayne at an abandoned building, only he's not alone there. Wayne believes he's led him into a deadly trap, but in fact, it's the total opposite.
Christine is wary of Daniel's next visit, and when he does come by, she finds she can't bring herself to let him in. Things take an absolute turn for the worse as a result of this.
Christine awakens to find she's being kept prisoner in her own house by Daniel. She attempts to escape, but with his great strength and near invincibility, it seems hopeless.
Wayne's body is discovered and the crime scene investigated by Leonard, who realizes that some pieces of the puzzle point to an unexpected person that he happens to know. Meanwhile, Christine forms one final plan to escape Daniel.
Having escaped Daniel thanks to Leonard's intervention, Christine recovers in the hospital and Daniel now lies dead in the morgue from being burnt by the sun's rays. But... is it truly that easy to kill what was already dead?
Daniel has abducted Christine once again and takes her to the cemetery he used to work at. There, he reveals the dark secrets of his final moments as Christine prepares for one final attack against him. Will Daniel's reign of bloodshed finally come to an end?
