After accidentally acquiring an ancient relic dating back to the creation of the world, political and spiritual forces pressure seven pirates to quickly restore & reshape Aventus before it returns to ruin.
Book One follows the first half of our crew as they collect various bounties - including that of a clandestine Pirate Lord. When he offers them a counter bounty for an ancient relic, the crew is skeptical, but agrees to the job and reward. Now, as they uncover more information about the supposed "Divine Token”, things start to become more complicated… and deadly.
Hebb, Mact, and Skitt pay a visit to their, uh, most 'trusted' fence, Trinx, to question her about the Divine Token's authenticity.
It doesn't go well.
The crew continue their search for renowned scientist, Wilton, before he is killed by a pirate gang. Wilton tries to mediate between Hebb and Skitt... but not before being subject to their stupid plans to infiltrate a casino.
The crew infiltrates the casino rather poorly, and the Navy shows up to arrest them.
Oh, and a raging Divine Messenger rains down from the sky and obliterates their ship.
Quite rude.
Ikarn chases the crew through the jungle and eventually captures them.
Aetrius is on the hunt for the Divine Tokens.
Skitt meets an ill fate, and Zagaroth is revealed.
The crew escape the island, and Hebb starts to soften towards Skitt.
On the other side of the world, the swordmaster, Mephistosa, unleashes terror upon a kidnapper.
