Cosmic Punishment

There was a time where mortals had guardians who protected them from universal threats. Those threats are known as cosmic-beings attack and devour mortals to survive, but without any natural predators their population runs vast. But after a brutal war which ended in the annihilation of the guardians and their adversaries, the universe is now left without any protection. Now powerful mortals hunt and kill cosmic-beings for a living while others only wish to gain control in this power vacuum.
