Twice upon a time, there was a woman called God. This space opera tells the tale of a god's second coming, and of the space pirates she left behind.
God has returned.
Twice upon a time, there was a woman called God. As the Captain of the Naglfar, Winona and her crew sailed the Seven Suns together, plundering and pillaging all that crossed their path. Then, in a flash of light, she was gone. And for fifteen years, the world ached on without her. But now... God has returned.
God has returned. She has returned to a world transformed from how she left it, her religion outlawed by the evil Einherjar Empire and her former crew now joined by a lone Einherjar soldier who risked his life to save one of their own.
Hated and hunted by the evil Einherjar Empire, Winona and her crew have been splintered to opposite ends of the Seven Suns.
For fifteen years, since she vanished in a glowing orb of green light, the space pirate crew of the Naglfar have ached on without their divine Captain.
Now, the mechanical pirate, Jormungandr; the captured Einherjar soldier, Creed; and Winona's pet wolf, Fenrir, must struggle to guide her crew to survival.
Meanwhile - stranded on an alien planet with the exotic and mysterious mercenary Camargo - Winona looks to regain her place in a world that has (and hasn't) moved on without her.
God has returned.
For fifteen years, Jormungandr the space pirate has waited for his God to return. For fifteen years, his mechanical heart has ticked idly on, marking the seconds unti it had a reason to spark back into life.
And now - as the moment he has been aching for finally arrives - he has been captured by the evil Einherjar Empire as they seek to consolidate their power over the Seven Suns.
A dozen worlds away, in the very place she died, a God has been reborn.
Stranded on an alien planet with a temple of votaries, an exotic mercenary, and no idea of how the world has changed without her, Winona seeks to return to the crew of space pirates who prayed for her homecoming.
God has returned.
