A short zine I put together for Halloween 2022, featuring work from past Inktobers, my art journal, and quite a few witches and centaurs. Also a witch centaur.

From creatures of the night to even more terrifying creatures of the day, HAUNTHOLOGY is an anxiety-inducing collection of 28 short stories and vignettes from the mind of JEREMY HAUN, the writer and artist behind THE BEAUTY, THE REALM, The Red Mother, The Approach and other nightmarish mindscapes. Whether exploring a claustrophobic old house full of nefarious entities or the heavy thoughts one has during the pending end of the world, this very personal project was written and drawn entirely during the COVID lockdowns.

A rural region weighs the consequences of attempting to cut ties with their mysterious, ancestral entity.

It contains studies, concept art, story boards, and illustrations. It covers about 9 sketchbooks ranging in size from 8.5” x 11” to 11” x 14”. Some books i was able to grab almost every page from, others maybe a few pages. Some drawings are just trash, but that’s what sketchbooks are for. Tumblr was king back then and a lot of the studies came from there. I tried to scrub as many studies from other artists out of respect and to keep this as original as possible. There were some Akira, Where’s Waldo, and Richard Corben studies that still slipped through. In Part One of the collaction, there is a lot of concept art and storyboards for an abandoned sci-fi comic. The idea combined Titan A.E. and Dante’s Inferno. This section also contains thumbnails and concept art for the one-shot comic called Taxi for the City Styx. It’s a horror comedy about an undead taxi for supernatural creatures. The comic is free online. The second section of the collection is more focused on illustration. 186 pgs. Mostly B&W with some color throughout. Standard comic size. Intended for mature audiences.

A botanist travels to a remote jungle and discovers a rare, exotic plant with vibrant colors and an alluring scent. They decide to bring it back home to study it further. However, the plant has a dark secret—it feeds on human fear and begins to unleash terrifying hallucinations and nightmarish creatures upon anyone nearby, thriving on their terror.

The ghostly green visage of Jacob Marley peers from the doorknob of an old green door and knocker. A sprig of holly adorns the title, "A Christmas Carol", adapted from the great old tale by Charles Dickens.
