1941, off the west cost of Africa, a British special Forces team on a secret mission to scout German U-Boat bases come across a seemingly abandoned German Spy ship. Boarding, they discover that the crew of the 'Gluksstern' (Lucky Star) have uncovered something that has led to a fate more terrible than this band of tough seasoned S.O.E operators could possibly imagine.

These prospectors, known as "after-guards," are tasked with traveling thousands of nautical miles across the horizon in extremely fast vessels.
