Currently trying out some test prints, I got one of the first copies made, I made a goof-up at my end with the file sizes (I didn't realize they were too small when I was learning some printing stuff between the website as well my experienced friend), but the quality is great! Took a big chunk from my pocket, so I am considering to get a printer, have a goal for myself to save up for one, that way I don't feel like I am over charging people for a 40 pages issue (each chapter will be considered an issue for copies for the time being until I work my way up to making hard copies of graphic novels).
I still got to finish up one to two more chapters until Volume 1 is complete, gives me time to do other things like art, world building, character designs, etc to do for my project, been in quite the burnout for the past few months, I think it has been 4-6 months which is pretty crazy to me since that is out for the norm for me, however I was pushing myself pretty hard making these pages and getting them done as fast as I could so that I could settle down, just sucks that it's happening when I am almost done (as my art style progresses significantly by the month usually haha).
Oh well, baby steps, many have told me I produce a lot of content as it is and am already "ahead" with my project, even if it doesn't feel that way, a cool down is much needed, and figuring out how to print and manage expenses as well... figuring out how to market as that is nooooot my forte, I don't know what I am doing, but I am winging it with each step, trial and error while doing my best to find friends that are knowledgeable about at least a fraction of these. In the mean time I got to figure out how to get more commission work, as it has been a huge flop this year for it, so I either am doing something wrong or the internet really is that dead (which doesn't benefit me as I don't have much IRL, I am chronically online and would normally get engagement online).
It is crazy I have 1.4K views on the first chapter, holy crap thank you?? That is insane for me to see.
As kinda mentioned on my prev post, I may consider having the next two chapters up as a payment, this hopefully helping me in getting a printer as well financially (financially taken lightly as comic making does not normally make a profit, you gotta be one of the lucky dogs). I'll work on fixing some of the pages, then get to uploading them here.
