Kami Yamaoni’s life ends in a single selfless act, and in the space between one breath and the next, he awakens in a world not his own. Reborn as a prince of Aeloria after a catastrophic surge of mana nearly tears his new body apart, he learns that his arrival in this realm was no accident. That entity is Akumaru, the shadow demon who lurks at the edge of Kami’s consciousness. Bound to him through forces neither fully understands, Akumaru torments him with whispers and visions, demanding dominance while tempting him with strength beyond mortal limits. Kami must navigate this new world while learning to command the dark power that threatens to consume him.
Each blackout, each surge of unstable mana, and each encounter with Akumaru pushes Kami toward a line he fears he may one day cross. Yet despite the shadows clawing at him, he chooses to stand for what is right and forge his own purpose in this unfamiliar land.
