Hi, I’m Christine!
I am an indie comic creator and illustrator specializing in narrative art and book illustration. I am the creator of the self-published epic Sídhe, a story exploring the friction between destiny and free will through flawed characters like Keabhen. When I’m not at the drawing board, I’m a homeschooling mom fueled by coffee.
Read Sídhe!
In Old Irish, sídhe translates to "mound" or "hill"—the dwelling place of the aes sídhe, the people of the hills. Far from the diminutive fairies of popular lore, these are tall, striking, and powerful beings endowed with ancient strength. Their world was forged in an epic, primordial struggle between the giant Fomorians and the divine yet deeply flawed Tuatha Dé Danann. Drawing from the Lebor Gabála Érenn and the Annals of the Four Masters, this story breathes life into a Celtic mythology uniquely rooted in a matriarchal society.
Sídhe follows Keabhen, a woman guided by destiny, as she navigates the enchanted realm of Tír na nÓg and uncovers the secrets buried within the ancient cities of Falias, Findias, Gorias, and Murias. But as the veil between worlds begins to thin, she is forced to confront the ultimate threshold of light and dark.
Keabhen’s trials demand a perilous balance, weighing impossible choices against unavoidable consequences. Through acts of raw courage and resilience, she learns that true strength requires far more than the power of a blade. To forge a path forward for herself and her companions, she must first shatter her own expectations and find unexpected grace.
Weaving a tapestry of adventure, heroism, and shadow, Sídhe captures both the fleeting beauty of immortality and the terrifying truth of destruction—proving that the greatest dangers are rarely found in the shadows, but within ourselves.
