Chapter 4: Confrontation

Finally the time has come for da ultimate showdown!! okay not really ultimate, but those evil little scoundrels gotta pay for messing with Mariah and Toki! The two are able to confront Niko and Reuben as they are waiting for their ticket out of town, with Ester nowhere to be found. That's because the two waited for her to get bored and go out on a walk but uh oh, it looks like she chose to pick on pigtail girl instead... Whatever thats for the next chapter or something, now it's Mariah and Toki's (mainly Toki's) time to shine!!

Chapter 3: It's only our first job!

After Mariah and Toki lose their first real fight, they find themselves having to track their trio down again. After some words of encouragement from Toki, the two decide to hit the town in search of any information that could be of use. Meanwhile Niko and the others are forced into hiding until later that night, where they plan to skip town. Unfortunately for them, Mariah ends up finding out abou their little plan thanks to the assistance of the unknown pigtail girl, who had a run in with the group earlier. Now Mariah and Toki must come up with a new plan of attack!

Chapter 2: Midday Skirmish

WOAH, Looks like Niko had backup in the form of two scoundrels known as Ester and Reuben. Toki is taken out of the fight by one blast of fire magic, forcing her to sit this one out while Mariah must deal with the Ester's Metal Magic, which she struggles against. Mariah ends up landing a blow on her but almost immediatley gets her sword broken as a result. Losing her cool even further, Mariah attempts one more attack which fails as the two are able to escape. But how did Toki get taken out so easily, and why did Mariah lose her cool? Who knows maybe we'll find out soon enough!

Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings

In a quiet town near a forested region, we are introduced to Mariah and Toki, two members of a newly formed Magic Guild Team who are out on their first assignment. They were both tasked with capturing a lowly criminal, but end up having difficulties, that is until a local speech given by the person is question grabs their attention. Meanwhile, a mysterious girl is seen exploring around town at her own leisure. Just who this girl is and why she's very protective of locket is yet to be known.
