Essential is the first release from Guango Press, a new imprint I created to publish character-driven genre stories shaped by lived experience.
“Guango” loosely translates to something that doesn’t quite fit and is a word that resonates with growing up between cultures, never fully confined to one identity. Guango Press embraces that in-between space.
Essential explores identity, inheritance, and the parts of ourselves we’re still learning to understand.
Guango Press is where I’ll continue building stories like this.
