Absurd. About as cliché a sword and sandal epic as I've ever seen in any comic series. And the climax just proves what was obvious from the beginning, that Superman should have waited until he could bring the Justice League with him, instead of rushing in with a few less experienced and underpowered neophytes.

Ridiculous. Instead of waiting until he can gain backup from the Justice League, Superman rushes into danger with a band of neophyte heroes to liberate War World from Mongul. Makes no sense at all.

Bendis tried to redo that garbage that Grant Morrison did with Batman Incorporated and Talia and made it even worse, how do you fail as a writer more than Grant Morrison!?

thanks for looking into this. There are two different series of TPBs, the first from 2007 was four volumes and then they made an omnibus in 2015 and 2017 that was only two volumes eac collecting two of the first tpbs, so this is the 2015 v1 and the older v2. v3 and 4 would complete the series but like the first comment said all of this v2 is in the first omnibus.
