Dear Travelers,
Of all the Ra No Tabi releases so far, Volume IV is my favorite.
Not because it is the biggest.
Not because it is the most ambitious.
But because it is the most honest.
This volume contains pieces of my life, my memories, my failures, my victories, and the lessons I learned while walking through some of the darkest periods of my journey.
Ra No Tabi has always been more than a manga to me.
It is a record.
A record of love.
A record of fatherhood.
A record of loss, hope, forgiveness, and the search for truth.
Volume IV represents a turning point in the story and in my own life. It is one of the most personal chapters I have ever written.
Within these pages, myth and memory become one. Ancient gods walk beside modern struggles. The journey through judgment gives way to understanding, and the search for answers becomes a search for meaning.
This is a story about the choices that shape us.
The people we love.
The promises we keep.
And the price we pay for becoming who we are meant to be.
Volume IV continues the journey of Ra as he walks between day and night, memory and destiny, myth and reality.
As Thoth would say:
"Every story is recorded."
And I would add:
"Only those who endure the journey leave behind a story worth telling."

これまでに制作してきた『ラーの旅』の中で、第IV巻は私にとって最もお気に入りの作品です。
それは最も大きな作品だからではありません。
最も壮大な作品だからでもありません。
最も正直な作品だからです。
この巻には、私自身の人生、記憶、失敗、成功、そして人生の暗闇を歩く中で学んだ教訓が込められています。
『ラーの旅』は、私にとって単なる漫画ではありません。
それは記録です。
愛の記録。
父親としての記録。
喪失、希望、赦し、そして真実を探し求める旅の記録です。
第IV巻は物語においても、私自身の人生においても大きな転換点となる作品です。
神話と記憶が交わり、古代の神々と現代の苦悩が同じ道を歩きます。
裁きの旅は理解へと変わり、答えを探す旅は意味を見つける旅へと変わっていきます。
これは私たちを形作る選択の物語です。
愛する人々の物語です。

そして、本当の自分になるために支払う代償の物語です。
第IV巻では、ラーが昼と夜、記憶と運命、神話と現実の狭間を歩み続けます。
