While she apparently doesn't intend to get him a control collar, I wonder if they have identification collars and other emblems to show ownership. Displaying ownership might keep some trouble away if they somehow get separated here.
This is a very nice display of what damaged self worth can do to us. If Flare would really consider Elias a pet she'd not talk about getting him a pillow to 'officially share the den' with him', would she? ^^
