Mpembe the colors means empty or dead as well. Mpemba is the land of the dead and mpembe is the color of death.

Mpemba is not a proper ocean. It is a metaphysical see of ideas, concepts and potentialities as well as a place.

Japan in real life and in the story had its diplomats and workers terminate the children they had over there. In the story, this will lead to some development and plot twists in the future but I can't elaborate at this time.
