In the heart of Lagos, a quiet life is shattered forever. Tunde and his sister, Tomi, are caught in a bizarre event that leaves Tunde changed: possessing superhuman strength and a powerful internal voice. When a deadly Mutant Frog appears, Tunde must activate his Silent Hawk form for the first time. This issue is the brutal origin story: a frantic, desperate battle to protect the only family he has left, as Tunde realizes his world is now filled with cosmic powers, mutated beasts, and a destiny he never asked for.
So I just read this comic and the last panel art is super eye-catching. The colors are really bold and the character designs are unique. The flow of the story is pretty engaging but I felt like the dialogue was a bit packed in some spots.
That panel with the green figure? So intense It really stands out and gives off a powerful vibe what’s happening with that character? Why do they look so fierce?
Do you usually work solo or do you have a little crew helping you out? Ever thought about bringing in a mangaka or artist for some extra hands? How long does it take you to wrap up a chapter?
Hello @Dracygirlyy1, thanks so much for reading and leaving such an awesome comment! It means a lot to hear you found the colors bold and the character designs unique.I'm glad the green figure stood out—that's Tunde, my protagonist. He looks fierce because I was focused on drawing the intensity needed for the upcoming battle and the sheer weight of the mission he just accepted. That look just flowed out naturally! You hit the nail on the head about the dialogue being packed! Since I work completely solo on the writing and art (I don't have a crew!), I sometimes try to fit too much cosmic lore in. I'm definitely working on pacing that better in future issues. As for collaboration, I'm sticking to being a solo creator for now because I love having the freedom to draw exactly what I want! My commitment to production is strong when there are no major uncertainties (like my university exams coming up on January 19th). But when I'm focused, I'm dedicated to delivering a solid episode every couple of weeks. Thanks again for the support! It fuels me to keep creating.
@Dreeyorr: ahh that’s really cool 😭 can’t believe you do everything alone that’s super impressive fr!! Tunde’s design really shows that intensity you mentioned, it fits his role so well
and yeah I get what you mean about the lore haha when you build the whole world yourself it’s hard not to include everything
btw I actually have an idea maybe a mangaka could draw your comic, it would look amazing! and I also have another idea if you’re okay with it we could perhaps work together sometime too
you said you like the freedom of drawing your own way and that’s totally possible even in a collab if you want
but honestly it’s all up to you :)
good luck with your exams!! hope you still get a bit of time to draw between studying lol and btw its your last year at uni
