I watched the show and I loved it this my first time coming around to the comic book and after finishing it I can say that in my opinion this comic book is peak fiction it hit every high and low end of my emotions although I like the show i will forever say the comics are better for sure

Ending sucked. Don’t get me wrong it had all the essentials of a good ending, but it was severely truncated. Plot was rushed to a quick wrap up. All the build up for Carl to be stepping into bigger shoes just for his whole arc to be threw away. You can say the same about other characters, I don’t really have a problem with Rick’s death, but I do think it’s ridiculous he died to some apocalyptic nepo baby. The whisperers plot felt rushed as well, to be honest I loved the series, but Kirkman wanted it to die. Everything felt so rushed and pushed to a close at the end. But, overall it’s a great series and I’ll probably reread, but I seriously hate the ending we have. Don’t get me wrong, it’s the natural “good ending” but so many things were just given a shitty or unanswered conclusion to call it wraps. Compared to his other works like Invincible, this ending blows 3000 squid dicks. Sorry not sorry
