Demons have become an everyday part of the world, and everyone can see them. But even among all the chaos, Yoshitoro stands out. He’s only eleven, yet he’s the one who always steps forward when a demon appears. People around him admire his courage, but Yoshitoro never feels like a hero he fights because he’s running from something inside him. Chapter 1 follows the way he pushes himself through another demon attack, trying to hide the guilt that drives him. In the middle of the battle, he uses a strange power he doesn’t fully understand, and it draws the demons toward him in a way that shouldn’t be possible. By the end of the chapter, a different kind of demon shows up calm, intelligent, and calling Yoshitoro by his name. That moment hints that the demons aren’t just here to destroy the world… they’re connected to him somehow.
