Two Houses

Harper’s husband is always away on business. Jake’s wife is deployed overseas. Left alone on the same quiet street, the two neighbours share school runs, early mornings and the kind of easy silence neither of them had at home. Their daughters already treat the two houses as one family. The adults haven’t said anything yet, but it’s already happening.
