The Stolen Current

Anthony struggles against Gary, who reveals that the orange Voltage Surge he displayed earlier was only a copy. His true power is a terrifying purple current combined with his monstrous strength. Gary overwhelms Anthony with his speed and power, shutting down his transformations and preventing him from summoning his Spectral Spirit. As Gary brutally beats Anthony into the ground, Davante watches helplessly, knowing that if Anthony falls, Gary could turn his attention to Daunte. Before Davante can intervene, Larry appears beside him, silently warning him to stay out of the fight. Anthony’s energy eventually disappears completely, leaving him battered and unable to fight back. Yet even while being beaten, he refuses to stop insulting Gary. Gary then reveals something far more personal: he claims to be Anthony’s father and admits that he never liked him. The revelation leaves Anthony completely stunned. As purple electricity crackles around him, the chapter ends with Anthony staring up at Gary in horror, realizing that the monster destroying him may be connected to his past in ways he never imagined.
