At 19, Davante is consumed by guilt, believing his power causes only destruction. In this vulnerable state, a man named Baloney manipulates him, showing fake visions of Daunte and Tony as dangerous beings created by Davante’s own actions. He convinces Davante that killing them is the only way to redeem himself. Broken and desperate, Davante agrees, choosing to become a “villain” to fix everything. But deep down, doubt lingers. In the present, after his defeat, Davante’s memories shatter—he realizes the truth: everything Baloney showed him was a lie. He was manipulated. Back on the battlefield, Davante rises, his aura now calm and controlled. Rejecting the false guilt, he declares he’s done paying for sins that aren’t his. Facing Daunte and Anthony, he makes a shocking decision—he refuses to fight. The chapter ends with his awakening: Fearless Resolve.
