Chapter 1 - Under Attack

Aboard the Rosemary, Allora prepares for a diplomatic voyage that should have changed the course of her life. But as the crew charts a risky path skirting the cursed deadlands of Drergred, old tensions are remembered. When rumours surface that Argenveil is reclaiming the blighted coast, the route suddenly becomes a gamble no ship should take and, as if on cue, fire tears through the sea. A blinding attack strikes from an Argenveil-flagged ship. Spells clash, water boils, and the crew scrambles to survive as their vessel is ripped apart. What should have been a safe journey becomes the spark that starts a wildfire bigger than anyone could expect.
