Boys night out
Vulture’s Shadow #13 — Boys’ Night Out
A rare night off pulls Vulture and Damien out of the Cave and into the rain-soaked streets of Blackgrave, where pizza, pints, and pub banter offer a brief escape from masks and bloodshed. As drinks loosen tongues, old wounds resurface from Ash’s past as a hired weapon to the violent moment that first bound him to Mara, and Damien’s growing feelings for Lily that are harder to hide than he’d like to admit.
But in Blackgrave, even a quiet night never stays quiet. When a routine crime exposes something far darker lurking beneath the city’s underworld, the line between downtime and duty vanishes fast. What starts as a messy, half-drunk intervention ends with a chilling revelation one that hints at a supply chain far older, deeper, and more infernal than anyone expected.
Brotherhood, secrets, and the cost of never truly clocking out collide in an issue that blends humour, heart, and horror and sets the stage for the darkness to come.
Issue 13
Date Night
A rare moment of peace gives Ash and Mara a chance to step away from the masks and violence, trading bloodshed for rain-slick streets, strong drinks, and the fragile comfort of pretending the world isn’t constantly on fire. For one night, survival gives way to intimacy and the quiet truth that some bonds were forged long before Blackgrave ever needed a Vulture.
Back at the house, Lily and Damien are left unsupervised a dangerous situation in its own right. What starts as boredom quickly turns into patrol, and a brutal street fight leaves Lily exposed in more ways than one. As secrets crack and emotions bleed through the armor, lines are crossed that can’t be uncrossed.
Romance, violence, and vulnerability collide in an issue that proves even on their quietest nights, no one in Blackgrave escapes consequence or connection.

The realization

Scarlet
VULTURE - Bonus Issue #14.5: “Scarlet”
Mature 17+ violence, blood, strong language
A small orange cat shouldn’t matter in a city like Blackgrave. But on a night when Blackgrave goes too quiet, Vulture spots three thugs in an alley—laughing as they torment a terrified kitten trapped in a tipped box.
Between patrols, safehouse moves, and the constant pressure of The Devil’s Mayor tightening his grip on the city, the team tries to keep moving until Vulture makes a choice that should be simple: he kneels, takes off the mask, and speaks softly to the stray. I’m not them. Against every instinct the streets taught her, the kitten climbs onto his shoulder.
“Scarlet” is a character-driven interlude to The Devil’s Mayor arc equal parts heart and tension showing how the VULTURE team gained their smallest member… and why, in Blackgrave, even compassion can put a target on your back.

Issue 18
Lily and Damien's first date
When their first date finally happens, it’s supposed to be simple: a night out in Blackgrave, no masks, no missions, no drama. But Blackgrave doesn’t care what you planned. Every street feels like it’s watching, every quiet moment comes with a shadow, and every laugh lands right beside something unspoken.
Between sharp jokes, soft honesty, and the kind of chemistry you can’t take back once it’s there, Lily and Damien step over the line from teammates to something else even as the city quietly reminds them that nothing stays safe for long.
Issue 17
blood and power
Blackgrave is drowning in propaganda. Collector’s banners stretch across the city like a second skin“MAYOR COLLECTOR – THE SAVIOR WE NEED.” But behind the speeches and smiling screens, his rule is fed by something darker: blood siphoned in secret, power pulsing through his veins like poison-green lightning the broadcast changes.
In the middle of Collector’s public address, the citywide feed is hijacked and Ash Barrow appears on every screen in Blackgrave. Calm. Direct. Unflinching. He exposes the footage Collector buried: the bleeding, the experiments, the guards forced into monstrous transformations. In minutes, the myth collapses. Banners are ripped down. The crowd turns. Collector scrambles to hold control, screaming into microphones as faith breaks apart in real time.
With Blackgrave in chaos and an election looming, Mara makes the call no one expected: Ash has to run. Ash resists he’s a vigilante, not a politician but the team sees what the city needs now. Lily, Damien, Mara… they all push him toward the same truth: he’s already been leading Blackgrave from the shadows. Now he has to do it in the open.
A fast, tense campaign ignites. Ash rises with the people behind him. Collector visibly unravels, his “human” mask slipping onstage as something infernal flickers beneath his skin. By election night, the streets hold their breath.
Collector loses.
Blackgrave erupts in relief and fury and hope all at once while Collector, alone in his ruined office, smashes what’s left of his world. As Ash is announced mayor-elect, the team steps into a new chapter: a larger home, a deeper foundation, and a fully upgraded Vulture Cave built for the battles ahead.
