Jorin and Leif stay the night in one of Mt. Miokola's inns, where they meet a man named Elroy and his daughter, Elarai. Jorin plans to head to Goldryn, the prime city of commerce, in order to be reunited with his parents after the tragic events in Hedrin village. Elarai is surprisingly more than willing to help. Branor returns to Miokola with news that shocks Thane and the other guards.
