This story is based on Toby Fox's Undertale. In this AU, the familiar world of Undertale takes on a sinister and frightening appearance. No one remains alive. Only old, tattered dolls wandering through the Underground serve as reminders of its former inhabitants. Frisk must confront her fears and uncover what truly happened here.
I wonder what Toriel's motive is. It is clear she is not alive based off the description. When she introduced herself she messed up by saying mother instead of Toriel, so that means whatever she is now is just trying to mimic her, which will explain why she looks like a puppet rather than a person, hence the stitches on her face, but why not kill Frisk? That is what I'm lost on. Toriel really has no reason to keep Frisk alive unless maybe Frisk is needed to escape if we are assuming that 7 human souls are still needed for the barrier, so maybe she has to get something to trap Frisk soul so the mimics can escape the underground? Possibly.
