Return of the Firstborn - Issue#2

As night falls over the Windscar Plains, High Wing riders Duncan and Jyn Wildhammer patrol the border of the Titanfall Mountains on their gryphons, Aura and Whitewing. A violet portal opens, and three mysterious riders flee across the grass. Behind them come the Morvessa—creatures known in common speech as Darkmaidens. The siblings dive to protect the riders, but their ordinary weapons cannot stop the winged horrors. In the fight, Duncan’s hammer and Jyn’s crossbow bolts awaken with long-dormant magic, allowing them to destroy the Darkmaidens. The power leaves them with more questions than answers. Duncan wants to follow the riders to Stonewatch, but Jyn persuades him that Khar-Durim must be warned. The siblings turn toward the mountains as the riders continue east. Behind them, violet sparks begin to trace another doorway in the dark.
