The spirit, desperate to break free from its dimension, possessed Ada and led her to an ancient shrine where the last guardian protected the *Mask of the Gate*—an artifact that kept the boundary between Earth and the Hollow sealed. ‎ ‎In a violent act, Ada killed the guardian, claimed the mask, and unleashed the horrors of the Hollow upon the world.
