Chapter 2: The Devil Is Betrayed

Lucifer’s search for love continues as he goes on a series of dates through the Halo dating app. Unfortunately, romance proves to be the least of his problems when every woman he meets attempts to assassinate him. Unbothered by the repeated attacks, Lucifer continues dating while his fiercely loyal subject, Azrael, secretly intervenes to keep each assassination attempt from succeeding. Convinced the attacks are connected, Azrael begins investigating the mysterious creation of Halo, believing someone close to Lucifer may be working against him. Meanwhile, Heaven launches an investigation of its own, determined to uncover the truth about Lucifer, his intentions, and what kind of ruler the King of Hell has truly become. As both sides search for answers, Azrael finally follows the trail back to the person responsible. His investigation ends with a confrontation that threatens to expose a betrayal from within Hell itself. Who is the traitor—and why do they want Lucifer dead?
