The Silent Heart is a hybrid illustrated serial combining 3D-rendered comic panels with prose storytelling. Alex Morrison is almost eleven when a skateboarding accident trying to impress his crush leaves him in a wheelchair. What starts as a summer of recovery becomes something else entirely when Darla Torres — the girl next door he's been in love with since they were kids — moves in with his family after losing her parents. The Silent Heart follows Alex and Darla as they grow up together, navigating disability, grief, family, and a relationship that started long before either of them had words for it.
