Description
Pharisees criticize the disciples for eating with unwashed hands. Jesus rebukes them for elevating human tradition above God's commandments. He teaches that true defilement comes from the evil within the human heart, not from food. In Tyre, a Gentile woman’s humble faith moves Him to heal her daughter. Later, in Decapolis, Jesus heals a deaf and mute man, sighing "Ephphatha" ("Be opened"). The astonished crowds declare, "He hath done all things well."
