The Last Tale Episode - 12 The Onikawa District

Episode 12: Onikawa District Departure from the Encampment (Pages 1–2): Aki, Kai, and Ren say goodbye to the Beast King and leave his camp high in the mountains. Carrying heavy travel packs, the trio begins their long trek down the scenic mountain trail. Kai reminds a tired Ren that walking is all part of their training as they press forward into the wilderness. Act of Kindness on the Trail (Page 3): Along the rocky mountain road, the group spots a small, injured white bunny. When Kai jokingly suggests eating it, Aki lightheartedly smacks his head and has Ren grab bandages and animal food to patch up the creature before resuming their journey. Arrival at the Trade Hub (Pages 4–6): Passing heavily guarded merchant caravans flying Onikawa banners, the trio reaches the massive wooden entrance gates of Onikawa District—a bustling, chaotic trade hub crawling with merchants, travelers, and thieves. Splitting Up in the Market (Page 7): Realizing the sprawling market district is a massive maze, Aki suggests splitting up for an hour to gather supplies and provisions individually. Market Encounters & Gear Supplies (Pages 8–10): Kai buys dried rations and cured meat from a local vendor. Shortly after, a local pickpocket tries to steal from him in the crowd, but Kai catches him by the wrist and slams him onto the cobblestone street. Afterward, he notices a public bathhouse nearby and decides to check it out. Ren visits a specialized armory stall, where the blacksmith sells him a powerful longbow made of mountain yew that can pierce armor from afar.
