Chapter 2: The City Above the Dead

Kairo and Mira emerge from the Hero Burial Grounds into Edrath, a magnificent holy kingdom built upon centuries of forgotten secrets. As Kairo struggles to understand his resurrection, the mysterious power of Severance, and the fading memory of his sister, Mira reveals the truth about the kingdom's chosen heroes and her missing brother. But the creature they barely survived was only a Tier One Censor — the weakest of the divine enforcers. While the two search for shelter and answers, a disturbance beneath the burial grounds reaches the royal palace.
