The Date Before Goodbye

For months, someone has been slipping anonymous yellow notes into Mio's library books. Good luck on your exam. Don't skip lunch. You laughed today, and it was nice. She has never met the writer, but somehow she has fallen for them. Now Mio is transferring in five days, and she's done waiting. In a burst of courage, she asks Ren, the silent boy who always sits in the corner of the library, for just one date. One day, one memory to take with her. But Ren knows her coffee order, wins her a prize on the first try, and keeps looking at her like he has a secret. As the day goes on and the clock runs down, Mio starts to wonder: what if the stranger she's been searching for has been closer than she thought?
